The ceramic and copper formulation of K-Seal is designed to ensure a fast and permanent seal of all holes up to 0.75mm diameter, and cracks of any length up to 0.75mm wide. Either of these are major failures, often with large coolant loss.

The special K-Seal chemical formulation flows into cracks, so fine that they are virtually invisible, to form the super-strength seal. The copper contributes to the strength of the repair, and also helps to conduct heat across the crack or hole. The combination of the ceramic and copper eliminates the hot spots, and resultant weaknesses that normally form with a non-metallic repair. The copper is also friendly to bronze, copper, and aluminium, which makes it safe to use with all types of cylinder heads and radiator cores.
